To construct a 3 wing boarding house to accommodate 84 learners by the 27th of November 2013. The new hostels are being constructed to accommodate the increasing number of boarding students. Infraco will appoint qualified consultants to oversee and monitor the contractor that will be awarded the building tender.
In scope:
Construction of a bedroom space for 8 junior learners sharing with reasonable privacy screens (2 per wing);
Construction of a bedroom space for 4 learners sharing with reasonable privacy screens (2 per wing);
Construction of a bedroom/study for 2 senior learners (2 per wing);
Construction of a bedroom/study with small on suite ablution for a stooge (1 per wing);
Construction of homely ablutions (2 per wing one per floor);
Construction of an informal common space (2 per wing one per floor);
Construction of an entrance hall;
Construction of visitors ablutions;
Construction of an open plan dining room/study x 2;
Construction of of an open plan kitchenette;
Construction of a games room (x2 one large one small);
Construction of a TV lounge x3;
Construction of an outdoor lounge (1 large and 2 small);
Construction of a cleaning store x3;
Construction of a drying yard x3;
Construction of a laundry collection booth x3; and
Construction of a 2 bed junior staff apartment x4 with; open plan living, small kitchenette, separate entrance and direct entrance into boarding house, built in cupboards, main bedroom, bathroom with WC, WHB and shower, small second bed room, small veranda, small enclosed floor garden unit and a single covered parking close by.
