To encourage backyard gardening at South East and Central regions. This will be accomplished by linking individuals who have already started with backyard gardening and those who have a desire to start with relevant service provider. The service provider will provide the target group/individuals with training and relevant project resources. The intention of the project is to alleviating poverty particularly for persons with disabilities and allow them to provide food for their families and make a living therein, in the long run. The project is planned to begin in February 2014 and complete in August 2014.

In scope:

• Formation of a project committee
• Meeting with the stakeholders
• Identification of the beneficiaries
• Training per identified project needs
• Procurement of the projects equipment/seedlings
• Sustaining existing food gardens/Implementing new gardens
