To rehabilitate the Royal Bafokeng Nation reservoirs, located in Tsitsing, Tlaseng, Marakana and Mabitse. In 2012 a reservoir cleaning project was initiated, at the conclusion of the project, a close-report was compiled by the service provider of critical faults that needed to be corrected in them. This project is being done to correct the faults that were identified and other faults that are there presently. The project will run from the 19th of May 2014 to the 21st of August 2014.
The project will be implemented in the following manner:
Contractors – Appointing a contractor to do the rehabilitation of the reservoirs in the various locations.
Engineering Consultants – To manage and monitor the project.
In scope:
Pipe work to be reinstated were required;
High pressure cleaning of walls;
Removal of existing joints;
New joints walls and floors;
Installations of overflow were required;
Installations of new outlet grids and grating were required;
Installations of New fibreglass manhole covers were required;
Installations of stainless steel covers were required; and
Refill and testing.
