To do a feasibility study for the establishment of a repair facility to refurbish mining equipment supported by OEM manufacturers with the capacity to manufacture a number of high frequency, low complexity items from steel. Funding application submitted to DTI by Spinnaker and opportunity to be mentored by RBED including the facilitation of agreements with OEM suppliers for the refurbishment support technically and commercially. The success of the project will open business opportunities for local SMMEs and also create job opportunities. The Butler international has been appointed to do the feasibility study for the project and it is estimated that the project may complete in October 2015.
