To conduct heritage awareness campaigns targeted at school children, cattle owners and herders and local tour guides. The campaign is aimed at raising awareness about heritage sites conservation. This will be done through talks/presentations to selectected high school students studying history, cattle owners associations members and local tour guides. There will also be a heritage walk to bring awareness about the sites in Phokeng. The project will run from February to September 2015.
In scope:
Heritage walk in Phokeng;
Two talks/presentation regarding heritage conservation to cattle owners association members in Central and South-east regoin;
Two talks/presentation regarding heritage conservation and career opportunities in the heritage sector to grade 11 and 12 learners at history teaching schools; and
To produce promotional material for use in the heritage awareness campaign eg. brochures, pamphlets etc.
