To ensure RBN buildings are insurable and in good condition, and to address queries from the building insurer, we will undertake a coordinated effort through a multidisciplinary committee. The core issues to be addressed include structural integrity, electrical systems, facility parameters, security, and fire prevention. This multi-year project will begin in April 2024 and will focus on 19 facilities: 12 schools, 7 clinics joined to 4 post offices.
In scope:
Structural assessment of the buildings;
Electrical assessment of the buildings;
Assessment of facility parameters;
Standard parameter wall design;
Assessment of building fire plans;
Procurement of materials;
Contracting of contractors or service providers;
Construction and remedial works;
Fire Compliance Certificates for all buildings; and
Certificates of Occupation for all buildings.
