To develop an integrated regional Master plan for the greater Rustenburg area, with specific reference to economic growth and diversification, spatial re-alignment, infrastructural integration and recommend game changing projects. This will be done in conjunction with Rustenburg Local Municipality (In line with the MoU) and other strategic stakeholders. The plan will be compiled through a process of data collection, analysis, proposals, public participation and final approval. The plan is expected to be completed by end April 2015. The project will be done in conjunction with Surbana, Rustenburg Local Municipality and Royal Bafokeng Administration.

In scope:

• Data collection (Demographic information, economic information, existing development plans, property data);
• Data consolidation;
• Data analysis by external stakeholder;
• 2040 Vision formulation;
• 2040 Development programmes;
• Identify preliminary projects;  
• Draft regional Master plan;
• Public participation; and 
• Final approval.
